Access, walking and reserve guidance
High-altitude walking
The reserve is around 3,100 metres above sea level. Expect stone or cobbled sections, steps and inclines. Suitable shoes, layers and rain protection are recommended.
CAR-led reserve group
Visitors remain with a group accompanied by a CAR guide inside the reserve. This locally controlled guidance is separate from your Bogotá Car Service driver.

Opening days, entry procedures, parking and final local transfers can change. We confirm practical arrangements before departure without hard-coding unstable details.
Including the lagoon requires additional walking and time. Travelers may instead prioritize Guatavita town, reservoir viewpoints, lunch and Zipaquirá. We will help plan a realistic version of the day.

These are hourly transportation rates per vehicle—not per person. Estimates below simply multiply the approved hourly rate by 10–12 hours; they are not fixed package prices.

How long does the Guatavita and Zipaquirá tour take?
Approximately 10–12 hours is recommended. Traffic, pickup point, attraction access, lunch and whether the Sacred Lagoon is included affect the duration.
Are attraction tickets included?
No. Salt Cathedral and Sacred Lagoon admission are paid separately unless explicitly included in a written quote.
Can we visit every listed stop?
The itinerary is flexible, but every stop cannot be guaranteed. We build a realistic sequence around current conditions and your priorities.
Is the driver a tour guide?
No. Bogotá Car Service provides a professional private driver. The Sacred Lagoon uses its CAR-controlled group guidance, and a separate licensed private guide may be arranged on request.
Can we skip the Sacred Lagoon walk?

Are the rates per person?
