Guatavita region

Combine Guatavita’s highland landscapes with Zipaquirá’s Salt Cathedral on a flexible 10–12 hour private trip with door-to-door pickup and your own professional driver.
This private itinerary brings together two contrasting experiences in one carefully paced day: the landscapes and Muisca heritage of the Guatavita region, followed by Zipaquirá’s remarkable underground cathedral and colonial centre.
Your vehicle is reserved for your party. The route is adapted around traffic, weather, current attraction access, your interests and whether you choose to include the Sacred Lagoon walk.

This is an example rather than a rigid schedule. The order and time at each stop can change with current opening conditions, traffic, weather, your pickup point and your priorities.
The reserve is around 3,100 metres above sea level. Expect stone or cobbled sections, steps and inclines. Suitable shoes, layers and rain protection are recommended.
Visitors remain with a group accompanied by a CAR guide inside the reserve. This locally controlled guidance is separate from your Bogotá Car Service driver.
Opening days, entry procedures, parking and final local transfers can change. We confirm practical arrangements before departure without hard-coding unstable details.
Salt Cathedral and Sacred Lagoon admission are not automatically included in the transportation price.
When an official online advance-purchase option is available, Bogotá Car Service can assist customers with purchasing attraction tickets. Ticket costs are paid by the customer. If online purchase is unavailable, the current onsite procedure applies.
